Key Information:
Required Subjects: The calculation includes three JAMB subjects plus one core subject related to your field (excluding English Language).
Grading System:
A1: 10 points
B2: 8.33 points
B3: 6.66 points
C4: 4.99 points
C5: 3.32 points
C6: 1.65 points
D7 and E8: 0 points
Steps to Calculate Your Screening Score:
1. Sum the Points: Add the points from your four major subjects.
2. Divide by 50: To find your screening score, divide the total by 50.
Example Calculation:
For a student applying for Computer Science with the following grades:
Physics: B3 (6.66 points)
Mathematics: A1 (10 points)
Chemistry: B3 (6.66 points)
Biology (additional subject): B3 (6.66 points)
Calculation: 10 (A1) + 6.66 (B3) + 6.66 (B3) + 6.66 (B3) = 30.01/50
Additional Notes:
English Language is excluded from the calculation for reasons yet to be confirmed.
Candidates using two O’Level sittings may see a reduction in points.
Using an incorrect JAMB subject combination will impact your score.
