The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) remains embroiled in a persistent crisis as the Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdulrasheed Na’allah, and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) continue to trade accusations over the non-payment of salaries.

The dispute has led to a prolonged strike by UNIABUJA's ASUU branch, which vehemently opposes the appointment of a new VC without the governing council's involvement.
