UNICAL Announces Date for Commencement of 2024/2025 Academic Session
The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has announced that the 2024/2025 academic session will begin on October 11, 2024. Newly admitted students are expected to arrive on campus on this date, with screening and registration for new students starting on October 14, 2024.

The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has officially announced that academic activities for the 2024/2025 session will commence on Friday, October 11, 2024. In a statement released by the Registrar, Mr. Gabriel Egbe, newly admitted students are expected to arrive on campus on this date.
The screening and registration process for new students will begin on October 14, 2024, while returning students can commence their registration on October 15, 2024. Classes for all students are scheduled to start on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. Additionally, orientation for freshmen will take place from Thursday, October 24, 2024, to Friday, October 25, 2024.
The Registrar, on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, has directed the Provosts of the College of Medical Sciences and the School of Postgraduate Studies, as well as Deans, Directors, and Heads of Departments, to ensure compliance with this new timetable.
The University of Calabar community is warmly welcomed to the 2024/2025 academic session, and students are encouraged to prepare for a fruitful year ahead.
