The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) has issued an internal circular reminding all beneficiaries of the Federal Government NELFUND Loan Scheme to verify their loan status and collect their school fee receipts.
The notice was released on November 19, 2025, by the institution’s Bursar, Wilson Aniyom.
According to the circular, the university confirmed that several loan applications under the NELFUND scheme have already been approved and disbursed. However, a number of students are reportedly unaware of their approval status, while others who are aware do not know the proper steps required to complete verification and receipt collection.
Students concerned have been directed to proceed to the ICT Unit of the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) to verify their loan status and obtain their school fee payment receipts.
The circular further emphasized that compliance with the outlined steps is mandatory, as the university will only validate loan disbursements for students who complete the verification process. Verified students will also be included in the official list of those recognized as having paid their school fees.
