Prof. Nwanze expressed his appreciation for the institution's leadership in launching the initiative, emphasizing the importance of environmental consciousness within the university community.
Prof. Nwanze encouraged both staff and students to maintain a culture of environmental care that would ensure the growth and longevity of the newly planted trees. The initiative, envisioned by Prof. Emelue, was lauded by the council chairman, who credited the management with supporting this impactful project.
The exercise saw participation from key university officials, including Vice Chancellor Prof. Stella Chiemeke, Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof. Patricia Mbah, Registrar Barrister Richmond Omagbemi, Bursar Mr. Sunny Ikeogwu, and Librarian Dr. (Mrs.) Vera Okonoko.
