In a remarkable achievement, Princess Kamsy Okeke, a 500-level student from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), has clinched the prestigious title of Best Pharmacy Brain in Nigeria. The announcement came during the grand finale of the Shalina Young Talents Award (SYTA) Season 5 competition held at the NECA house in Ikeja, Lagos on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

SYTA, organized by Shalina Healthcare Limited, is dedicated to identifying and celebrating the top pharmacy talents in Nigeria. This year, the competition attracted participation from approximately 3,000 final-year students representing 24 pharmacy schools across the country. Each school produced one finalist, culminating in a total of 24 contenders for the Grand Finale.

The award ceremony witnessed the presence of esteemed guests, including the Registrar of the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria, Pharm. Ibrahim Babashehu Ahmed, and the Chief Commercial Officer of Shalina Healthcare Ltd, Mr. Raj Arun. Princess Kamsy Okeke's exemplary performance and dedication to the field of pharmacy earned her the title of Best Pharmacy Brain in Nigeria, a testament to her academic excellence and commitment to the profession.
