UNILAG And 5 Other Universities For Maiden Edition Of UNI:NNOVATORS Startups-in-Residence Program
Undergraduate and postgraduate students of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Nigeria and five (5) other universities have been invited to participate in the maiden edition of UNI:NNOVATORS Startups-in-Residence Program.
Undergraduate and postgraduate students of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Nigeria and five (5) other universities have been invited to participate in the maiden edition of UNI:NNOVATORS Startups-in-Residence Program.
The program, sponsored by iHub, Nairobi, GIZ, Make-IT in Africa, and Co-creation Hub (CcHUB), aims to provide a platform for students to demonstrate the significant contribution of higher education institutions within the broader innovation ecosystem on the African continent in Agriculture, Energy, Circular Economy, Healthcare, and Water.
It will support 30 student-led innovations in Nigeria, Namibia, and Kenya. Two (2) universities per country have been selected to participate in the program:
Nigeria:
• University of Lagos (UNILAG)
• University of Ibadan (UI)
Namibia:
• University of Namibia (UNAM)
• Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST)
Kenya:
• University of Nairobi (UoN)
• Riara University (RU)
Interested and suitably qualified applicants must be from one of the universities listed above and must have innovative and research-based ideas that are viable, feasible, and within the scope of the challenge.

The selected startup teams will focus on Greentech and smart city solutions in sectors such as Agriculture, Energy, Circular Economy, Water, and Healthcare.
