The University of Lagos (UNILAG) invites applications for its prestigious Master’s in Urban Management program. This program, housed within the Urban and Regional Planning Department, is part of the DAAD-SDG Graduate School initiative under the WITS-TUB-UNILAG Urban Lab collaboration. The program is designed to align with the African Union Agenda 2063, the UN’s New Urban Agenda (Habitat III), and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on building capacity for sustainable urban development.

Program Overview
The Master’s in Urban Management curriculum equips students with a comprehensive understanding of urban systems, infrastructure, governance, and management. Participants will gain essential analytical and technical skills to address global, national, and local urban issues. The program aims to prepare graduates to effectively serve diverse urban populations and excel in complex organizational environments.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree with honours from the University of Lagos or any other recognized university.
- Have a minimum of two years of post-qualification experience.
- Meet additional requirements as stipulated by the UNILAG School of Postgraduate Studies.
- Undergo a selection process.
Program Duration
The program is conducted part-time over four semesters, combining onsite and online classes to provide flexibility for working professionals.
Scholarship Opportunities
The WITS-TUB-UNILAG Urban Lab offers highly competitive scholarships funded by DAAD for eligible Nigerian candidates. These scholarships aim to support students who demonstrate exceptional academic and professional potential.
