UNILAG Confucius Institute Set to Celebrate China’s National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival

The Confucius Institute at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) is gearing up to commemorate China’s National Day alongside the Mid-Autumn Festival on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. The celebration will be held at Tayo Aderinokun Hall, UNILAG, Akoka, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Members of the university community and the general public are warmly invited to participate in this cultural event. The festivities will feature traditional Chinese performances, cultural showcases, and engaging activities that highlight the rich heritage of China.

China’s National Day, celebrated annually on October 1, marks the founding of the People's Republic of China, while the Mid-Autumn Festival is a time-honored celebration that revolves around family reunions, moon gazing, and sharing mooncakes.
