UNILAG Design Studio, Partners to Host Femme Tech 2.0 Grand Finale
The University of Lagos (UNILAG) Design Studio, in partnership with the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), Chevron, Rice 360°, and NEST 360°, will on Friday, September 12, 2025, host the Grand Finale of Femme Tech 2.0, an intensive bootcamp dedicated to introducing young girls to practical, hands-on experience in technology.

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) Design Studio, in partnership with the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), Chevron, Rice 360°, and NEST 360°, will on Friday, September 12, 2025, host the Grand Finale of Femme Tech 2.0, an intensive bootcamp dedicated to introducing young girls to practical, hands-on experience in technology.
The event, which will hold at the UNILAG Design Studio, Faculty of Social Sciences, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., is themed “Building a Future of Innovations.” It will also be streamed live via Zoom at https://rebrand.ly/femmetechfinale.
Co-funded by the African Engineering and Technology (AFRETEC) Network, Femme Tech 2.0 has provided a platform for participants to develop their creativity, problem-solving skills, and teamwork through guided training and mentorship. The grand finale will feature team presentations and prototype demonstrations, highlighting the innovative solutions created during the bootcamp.
The initiative reflects the growing commitment of industry leaders and academic institutions to empower young girls in STEM, bridging gender gaps in engineering and technology.
