Unilorin Clinches Top 3 in National IP & Tech Transfer Awards

The University of Ilorin has clinched the third position for Best Performing Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Office (IPPTO) in Nigeria.

This prestigious recognition comes from the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion, under the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology.

During a visit to his office on Monday (February 5, 2023), the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Egbewole, SAN, encouraged the LABTOP team led by Prof. Mohammed Jimoh Saka to intensify efforts in transforming patents into products through enhanced collaborations with industries.

Accompanying the Director to the Vice Chancellor were the Deputy Directors at LABTOP, Dr. Adeniyi George and Dr. Muhtahir Oloyede. Also present were the President of Intellectual Property Club, University of Ilorin, James Titiloye, and Director of Research II, Emmanuel Oyewumi, among others. The team also visited the Registrar, Mr Mansur Alfanla, FCIML, in his office.
