UNILORIN Holds Send-Off Ceremony for Prof. Jackson Olujide and Alhaji Abdulrahaman Tunde
The University of Ilorin's Faculty of Management Sciences held a ceremony to honor Prof. Jackson Olusegun Olujide and Alhaji Abdulrahaman Tunde for their significant contributions to the Faculty and University.

The Faculty of Management Sciences at the University of Ilorin celebrated the remarkable contributions of Prof. Jackson Olusegun Olujide and Alhaji Abdulrahaman Tunde in a heartfelt send-off ceremony held last Thursday.
The event took place in the Faculty Board Room, where Prof. Rotimi Gbadeyan, the current Dean, led the tribute. Prof. Gbadeyan expressed gratitude for the opportunity to honor Prof. Olujide, a revered figure in the Faculty who served as the pioneer Dean from 2013 to 2017. He also highlighted Prof. Olujide's extensive tenure as the MBA Coordinator, noting his service periods between 1991-1997, 1999-2002, and 2006-2008.

Despite Prof. Olujide's retirement occurring nearly two years ago, Prof. Gbadeyan remarked that it is “better late than never” to acknowledge his invaluable contributions. He praised Prof. Olujide as a “beacon of wisdom” and a “pillar of strength,” emphasizing that his legacy will remain significant in the history of the University.
The ceremony also honored Alhaji Abdulrahaman Tunde, the Faculty's former driver. Prof. Gbadeyan commended Tunde’s dedication and harmonious working relationship, which, despite the brief ten months, felt much longer due to their close interactions. He acknowledged Tunde’s unwavering commitment and willingness to work beyond regular hours without complaint.

In his response, Alhaji Abdulrahaman Tunde expressed his deep appreciation for the honor bestowed upon him and Prof. Olujide.
