UNILORIN Professor Kolawole Becomes RSB Fellow

A Professor of Medical Virology and Environmental Health at the University of Ilorin, Prof. Olatunji Mathew Kolawole, has been admitted into the Fellowship of the British Royal Society of Biology (RSB).

A letter dated April 2, 2024 sent to the don by Mark Leach, who is the Director, Membership, Regions & Facilities of the Society, said that the renowned scholar was granted the Fellowship of the Society to afford him another opportunity for community service.

The Director thanked Prof. Kolawole for choosing to join the RSB, saying that his decision to subscribe to the Fellowship of the Society is a support targeted at achieving the RSB charitable goals and widening the reach of the life sciences".

Prof. Kolawole, a Wellcome Trust Grantee, is currently a Visiting Professor and Fellow at the Institute of Advanced Studies, University of Warwick, as the United Kingdom.

The distinguished scientist was recognised last August as a Global Exceptional Talent, in  United Kingdom.
