UNILORIN: Sofiat Obanishola, Clinches Badminton Bronze for Team Nigeria at African Games

This amazing 400-level Human Kinetics Education student has clinched a bronze medal for Nigeria's women's badminton team at the ongoing 13th African Games in Ghana.

This is another impressive feat for Sofiat. Back in 2022, alongside teammates Rofiat Abdulazeez and Bukunmi Asaba, she secured a gold medal for Team UNILORIN in the squash women's team event at the 26th Nigerian University Games (NUGA 2022) hosted by the University of Lagos.

Her talent and strategic skills shone brightly again in 2023, as she was among the six exceptional UNILORIN students who qualified to compete in the prestigious FISU World University Games.

At the trials hosted by the University of Benin, she dominated all her matches.
