UNIMAID VC, Prof. Mohammed Laminu Receives Alumni Delegation, Lauds Connection to Roots

Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), welcomed a delegation from the Arabic Teachers College Maiduguri Old Boys Association (ATC-MOBA) on Wednesday.

Led by Chairman Professor Kaka Waziri Bukar, the association visited to congratulate Professor Mele on his appointment as substantive Vice-Chancellor.

Notably, Professor Mele is an alumnus of Arabic Teachers College, graduating in the class of 1990.

The VC expressed gratitude for the gesture, emphasizing the significance of his connection to his alma mater.

"This visit demonstrates the strong bond between the university and its alumni," Professor Mele said. "I'm proud to have begun my academic journey at Arabic Teachers College."
