The decision was made during the 418th Senate meeting on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, after a proposal by the Vice-Chancellor.
Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has reopened its registration portal for the 2023/2024 academic session, following a six-week extension granted by the university’s Senate. The decision was made during the 418th Senate meeting on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, after a proposal by the Vice-Chancellor.
The extension, effective from Thursday, November 28, 2024, allows students who participated in the First Semester examinations without paying their registration fees to complete their registration. Students who fail to settle their fees within the extended period will be required to suspend their studies for the session.
Additionally, the Senate approved the suspension of studies for students who were unable to register or write the First Semester examinations due to unforeseen circumstances. This move reflects the university's commitment to supporting students facing financial challenges.
The university has urged all affected students to take advantage of the extension and complete their registration process within the given time frame.
