UNISZA and MAAUN Partner to Boost Academic and Research Collaboration

Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UNISZA), Malaysia, and Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) have formalized a partnership aimed at advancing academic excellence and research development. The agreement, signed virtually on Monday, November 25, 2024, outlines a five-year collaboration to enhance the educational and research capacities of both institutions.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) includes initiatives such as the exchange of academic staff and students for undergraduate and postgraduate programs, as well as joint research activities and publications. The two institutions will also collaborate on seminars, conferences, and workshops, fostering cross-institutional learning and addressing global challenges through innovative research.

Prof. Dato’ Dr. Fadzli Bin Adam, Vice Chancellor of UNISZA, highlighted the immense opportunities for academic and research development arising from the partnership. Prof. Mohammad Israr, President of MAAUN, expressed confidence that the collaboration would provide valuable opportunities for students, faculty, and researchers.

The signing ceremony was attended by key officials from both universities, including Engr. Bashir Garba, Head of Career Guidance, Training and Placement (CGTP) of MAAUN, and Hajia Maimuna S. Bello, Head of Human Resources at MAAUN.
