UNIMED Issues Scam Alert On 2025/26 Admissions

The Management of the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo, has alerted the public to the activities of admission racketeers issuing fake admission letters to unsuspecting candidates via email and SMS.

The University stated clearly that it does not offer admission through emails or text messages, emphasizing that all genuine admission offers are made strictly through the official University portal at www.unimed.edu.ng.

According to the Public Relations Officer of the University, Isaac Oluyi, parents, guardians, and candidates had earlier been warned during the Post-UTME exercise that UNIMED does not operate through agents or intermediaries. He reiterated that the institution has no dealings with social media platforms such as WhatsApp or Telegram groups for admission purposes.

The University cautioned candidates to be vigilant and avoid falling victim to fraudsters posing as UNIMED representatives. It further stressed that admission into the institution is strictly by merit and cannot be influenced by financial inducement.
