UNIPORT SUG Issues Warning notice to campus traders, and POS Operators over Naira Crisis, the Union stated it wouldn't hesitate to sanction any trader or POS attendant who flouts the directive away from the school premises.
The Students' Union Government SUG of the University of Port-Harcourt UNIPORT has threatened to impose sanctions on POS operatives who impose exorbitant charges on students for cash withdrawals within the school. Traders and POS Operatives Imposing Exorbitant Charges on Students, the Union stated it wouldn't hesitate to sanction any trader or POS attendant who flouts the directive away from the school premises.
UNIPORT SUG MEMO TO ALL POS OPERATORS AND STUDENTS
The attention of the Student's Union Government has been drawn to the illegal and indiscriminate increase in the Charges fee of POS operators within the School community for the services they render.
However. in consideration of the economic hardship that we as university students are going through to meet up with our school financial demands, Academic activities, and the difficulties posed by the withdrawal of cash at banks and ATM's, prices of POS within the School community are hereby reviewed temporarily, pending when the situation normalizes.
Below are the approved charges for all POS operators for the services they render on campus.
