This year's theme, "Safe Care for Every Newborn and Every Child: Patient Care from the Start," highlights the vulnerability of newborns and children to medical errors and infections.
The Head of Paediatrics Department, Prof. Biobele Brown, acknowledged the hospital management for supporting the campaign, which aligns with the Federal Ministry of Health's initiatives.
The Head of Public Health Nursing, Mrs. Adeola Oladiran, emphasized that Patient Safety Day has become a global movement promoting prevention over curative measures.
The Head of Clinical Nursing, Mrs. Rebecca Ishabiyi, stressed the importance of implementing safety protocols and training programs to prevent harm in healthcare.
The Chief Medical Director, Prof. Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo, represented by Prof. Olusola Ibiyemi, reiterated the hospital's commitment to patient comfort and staff welfare.
