University of Abuja Honors 105 Staff for Professional Excellence at 2025 Meritorious Service Awards

The University of Abuja (UniAbuja) celebrated a landmark "harvest of talent" today, Friday, December 19, 2025, during the University Staff Meritorious Service Award ceremony.

A total of 105 staff members were recognized for their unwavering dedication, professionalism, and commitment to superior service delivery.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Hakeem Babatunde Fawehinmi, praised the recipients for their outstanding contributions and commended the university’s SERVICOM Unit for maintaining a credible and transparent selection process. In a significant shift toward enhanced employee welfare, the Director and Focal Officer of the UniAbuja SERVICOM Unit, Professor Margaret Bahal, revealed that the 2025 edition introduced monetary rewards to further bolster staff motivation.
