University of Abuja Welcomes New Pro-Chancellor and Acting Vice-Chancellor, Pledges Restoration of Sanity and Academic Excellence

The University of Abuja has ushered in a new era of leadership with the arrival of Senator Lanre Tejuoso, the newly appointed Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, and Professor Patricia Manko Lar, the Acting Vice-Chancellor.

On their first official day on campus, the duo engaged in an interactive session with members of the university management, provost, deans, and other officials, emphasizing the need for peace, collaboration, and collective effort to propel the institution forward.

Senator Tejuoso outlined his primary objective: restoring sanity to the university. He expressed his commitment to supporting the acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Lar, during her six-month tenure, ensuring she leaves a lasting legacy. Tejuoso also encouraged open communication, assuring the university community that his doors would always be open.

The university has faced challenges in recent times, gaining prominence for the wrong reasons. However, with the new leadership, there is a renewed sense of hope and determination to restore the institution's reputation and achieve academic excellence.
