Federal University of Lafia Welcomes New Nasarawa Police Commissioner

The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has officially welcomed the new Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State, Shetima J. Muhammed.

A delegation led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic Affairs, Professor Aleruchi Chuku, representing the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, received the commissioner on Monday, February 10, 2025.

Other members of the delegation included Deputy Vice-Chancellors Prof. Ali Is'haq Shugaba (Administration) and Prof. Sama'ila Usman Dakyes (Research and Partnerships), Registrar Malam Nuradeen Abdu, and Bursar Dr. Daniel Wilson.

Shetima J. Muhammed, who recently assumed office as the 29th Commissioner of Police in Nasarawa State, succeeds AIG Shehu Umar Nadada, who was promoted to Assistant Inspector General of Police. The university's warm welcome underscores its commitment to fostering positive relationships with key stakeholders and promoting a safe and secure academic environment.
