University of Calabar Confirms Receipt of ₦255.1 Million Education Loan Disbursement

The University of Calabar, Calabar, Cross River State, has confirmed the receipt of ₦255,141,000.00 (Two Hundred and Fifty-Five Million, One Hundred and Forty-One Thousand Naira) from the Nigeria Education Loan Fund.

The disbursement, which was made on 21st August 2025, benefited 2,587 successful students of the institution for the 2024/2025 academic session.

In a statement issued by the Bursar of the University, Dr. Joseph Odum, the management expressed appreciation to the Nigeria Education Loan Fund for its commitment to supporting students’ education. He commended the efforts of the Fund’s team and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration to ensure seamless actualization of its objectives for all interested students of the University.

Dr. Odum reaffirmed the University’s dedication to ensuring that the financial support reaches the intended beneficiaries and contributes meaningfully to their academic pursuits.
