The University of Ibadan has released an important internal memorandum through the Office of the Registrar, outlining key information for students returning to campus following a three-week Senate-approved break. The break, which commenced on August 31, 2024, will end on September 20, 2024, with the reopening of hostels and resumption of academic activities.

Students are expected to return to the campus from 12 noon on Friday, September 20, 2024, when hostels will officially reopen. The 2023/2024 first-semester examinations are scheduled to begin promptly on Monday, September 23, 2024.

The university has stressed that the portal for registration will close on September 20, 2024, with no further opportunities for fee payment or course registration beyond this date. Students are also required to show evidence of registration, such as a printout, to gain access to their halls of residence.

The memo emphasized that only students who have properly registered will be permitted to sit for their examinations. The Registrar, G. O. Saliu, reminded all students and staff to adhere strictly to the provided guidelines.
