University of Ibadan Receives $3 Million Software Grant from Baker Hughes to Bolster Geoscience Training

The University of Ibadan (UI) has secured a major boost for its Department of Geology following the donation of high-end workstation hardware and specialized subsurface modelling software licences valued at over $3 million from Baker Hughes Oil Services Company.

The donation, aimed at bridging the "town-gown" gap between academic theory and petroleum industry practice, includes:
