The University of Ilorin achieved a significant milestone in the field of nursing as it celebrated the graduation of 75 nurses, including an impressive cohort of male nurses, at the 6th Professional Induction and Admission Ceremony for the October 2023 Nursing Graduates.

The ceremony, held at the University Auditorium on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, witnessed the induction of 65 accomplished female nurses and a notable presence of 10 male nurses. This marks a remarkable achievement for the University, as it represents the highest number of male nurses produced since the inception of the program in 2015.

In February 2023, only one male nurse emerged among the 46 graduates, making this achievement even more significant. It demonstrates the University's commitment to embracing diversity in the nursing profession and encouraging more men to pursue careers in healthcare.
