University of Ilorin Students' Union Secures 20-30% Reduction in School Charges

The University of Ilorin Students' Union has successfully negotiated a 20-30% reduction in school charges for the 2023/2024 academic session.

Following the announcement of increased school charges on August 22, 2024, the Students' Union leadership engaged in a series of meetings with the University Administration, advocating for reduced charges and improved welfare.

Key Outcomes:

- 20-30% reduction in school charges

- No hidden charges at departmental or faculty level

- Commitment to value for money paid, including:

    - Uninterrupted Wi-Fi internet connectivity

    - Adequate water supply

    - Enhanced security measures

The Students' Union encourages colleagues to explore the Federal Government's Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) to support their education.
