University of Maiduguri VC Receives Congratulatory Visit from ASUU Leadership

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri, Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, welcomed a congratulatory visit from the Yola Zone leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on September 25, 2024.
The delegation, led by Zonal Coordinator Professor Dani Mamman, visited to celebrate Professor Mele's recent appointment and to express sympathy for the flood disaster in Maiduguri, which impacted several ASUU members and university staff.
During the meeting held at the Muhammadu Buhari Senate Building, Professor Mele expressed gratitude for the support and concern shown by the ASUU leadership for both university personnel and the wider Borno state community. He emphasized the importance of the relationship between ASUU and the management of the University of Maiduguri, assuring the delegation of the university's ongoing support.
The ASUU delegation included branch chairpersons from various institutions, such as the University of Maiduguri, Modibbo Adama University, Federal University Gashua, Yobe State University, Taraba State University, and Gombe State University.
