The University of Maiduguri's Chief Security Officer has issued a warning to all students, advising them to desist from patronizing illegal registration outlets, particularly those referred to as "Mercenaries."

The university emphasized that students should only utilize approved registration channels and visit the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Management Information System (MIS) Centres for guidance on the registration process.
