The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus (UNEC), has issued a decisive directive to students regarding the payment of school fees for the 2023–2024 academic session. Following recent turmoil arising from discrepancies in the school fee invoicing process, the union has taken proactive steps to rectify the situation and ensure smooth operations.

In response to the confusion stemming from a subtle increase in school fees, which was traced back to issues within the school portal, the UNEC SUG has intervened to address the concerns of the student body. Notably, the union has clarified that there will be no increase in school fees for the current session. Students are now instructed to proceed to the school fees portal to generate their correct invoices for the 2023–2024 academic session.

In an official memo released by the UNEC SUG, students have been informed of the resolution of the invoicing discrepancies and encouraged to comply with the updated instructions regarding fee payment. Furthermore, the union has announced that hostel allocation for the upcoming session will commence on the 30th of April, in accordance with the school calendar.
