University of Offa Commends Surajudeen Oyewale for Donation of Mini Sports Complex
University of Offa (UNIOFFA) has commended renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist Mr Surajudeen “Jarus” Oyewale for his planned donation of a mini sports complex to the institution, describing the gesture as a major boost to student development and campus life.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Kazeem Alagbe Gbolagade, speaking on behalf of the Founder, Governing Council, Senate, management, staff, and students, expressed deep appreciation for the initiative, which is being executed through Jarus Homes.
The proposed facility will include a football pitch, volleyball court, and tennis court, aimed at expanding the university’s sporting and recreational infrastructure.
According to the Vice-Chancellor, the donation reflects a strong commitment to educational development and youth empowerment, noting that the project will enhance students’ opportunities to develop sporting talents, promote healthy living, and strengthen social interaction within the university community.
Professor Gbolagade described Mr Oyewale as a distinguished professional, entrepreneur, career mentor, and advocate of human capital development. He noted that through his business portfolio under the Jarus Group of Companies, Oyewale has contributed significantly to sectors such as real estate, travel services, and career development.

He highlighted Mr Oyewale’s academic and professional background, including a First-Class degree in Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, an MBA from Edinburgh Business School, and a certificate from the London School of Economics. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).
The Vice-Chancellor further praised Oyewale’s philosophy that “CSR has to begin at home,” describing it as a reflection of his sense of responsibility and commitment to community and institutional development in Offa and Kwara State.
He added that the donation aligns with the university’s vision of producing well-rounded graduates through a balanced emphasis on academics, character development, innovation, and extracurricular engagement.
The institution expressed optimism that the gesture would inspire other alumni, stakeholders, and partners to support the university’s growth and development agenda.
