The University of Port Harcourt has received multiple teams from the National Universities Commission (NUC) as part of the 2024 accreditation exercise.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Owunari Georgewill, along with university officials, extended a warm welcome to the NUC delegation, which included Team Leaders and representatives of the Acting Executive Secretary, Chris Maiyaki.

In his address, Prof. Georgewill commended the NUC for its consistent evaluation of university programs, noting its vital role in improving academic standards and program delivery. He emphasized the importance of the exercise, charging Deans, staff, and students to offer full cooperation to the visiting teams.
