UNIZIK Clarifies Its Participation in NELFUND
Nnamdi Azikiwe University is participating in the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND). Out of 556 applicants, 304 have been approved as of August 16, 2024. The Student Affairs Unit is verifying these students before final fund disbursement.

Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, has addressed the recent media speculation regarding its involvement with the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND). Contrary to some reports, the university is actively participating in the NELFUND program.
In a press release sent out on Thursday August 29, the management revealed that as of August 16, 2024, a total of 556 students from UNIZIK applied for the NELFUND, and 304 of these applications have been approved. The Student Affairs Unit is currently verifying the status of these applicants to confirm their eligibility as bona-fide students before the final disbursement of funds by NELFUND.
