Ojukwu, the Head of Public Relations and Special Duties, emphasized that the claims made in the circulating audio clip claiming that the institution had granted pardon to students with outstanding carryovers, are entirely false.
Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (UNIZIK), has officially debunked a rumor circulating in an audio clip that claimed the institution had granted pardon to students with outstanding carryovers.
The university management, in a press release signed by Dr. Emmanuel C. Ojukwu, the Head of Public Relations and Special Duties, emphasized that the claims made in the circulating audio clip are entirely false.

The university management stated, “The Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka has intercepted a circulating audio clip falsely claiming that the university has granted clemency to students with outstanding carryovers, allowing them to return and ‘sort’ their academic issues.”
“We categorically state that this claim is false and baseless. The university upholds rigorous academic standards and adheres to established procedures for addressing academic issues,” the statement continued.

The university emphasized the importance of adhering to its academic policies and procedures, which are clearly outlined in the student handbook. “We urge all students to familiarize themselves with these guidelines to avoid misinformation and ensure a smooth academic journey", the statement concluded.
