The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) participated in a distinguished dinner held at the Maj. MSA Aliyu Hall Army Officers Mess and Suites in Maiduguri on Saturday, December 7, 2024. The event brought together notable dignitaries, security agencies, and organizations in a remarkable show of collaboration.

The Vice-Chancellor of UNIMAID, Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, was represented by Major Abiya Mohammed (rtd), the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the university, alongside security heads from various units within the institution.

The Executive Governor of Borno State, His Excellency Professor Baba Gana Umara Zulum, attended as the Special Guest of Honour, with the Commissioner for Information, Borno State, Professor Usman Tar, standing in for him.
