UNIZIK Senate Elects Representatives to Registrar Selection Board
The Senate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, has elected Prof. Kingsley Chilaka and Prof. Innocent Igwilo as its representatives on the Selection Board for the appointment of a substantive Registrar.

The Senate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, has elected Prof. Kingsley Chilaka and Prof. Innocent Igwilo as its representatives on the Selection Board for the appointment of a substantive Registrar.
The election took place during the 237th Special Senate Meeting held at the University Auditorium on August 13, 2025.
In a closely contested poll, Prof. Chilaka emerged with 97 votes, while Prof. Igwilo polled 84 votes. Other contenders included Prof. Emmanuwl Anakwuba with 74 votes and Prof. Nnaemeka Abamara with 32 votes. Out of a total of 322 votes cast, 161 were accredited, and 35 were declared invalid.
The exercise was conducted under the supervision of Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Carol Chinyelugo Arinze-Umobi, alongside Acting Registrar, Mr. Victor Modebelu; University Librarian, Prof. Stella N. I. Anasi; Provost of the College of Postgraduate Studies, Prof. E.C.O. Obidimma; and Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Prof. J.K.C. Emejulu.
