Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS), has successfully recruited over 100 new academic and non-academic staff members across various faculties and units of the institution.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Bashir Garba, made the announcement during a courtesy visit by lecturers from the Department of Mass Communication. He revealed that a majority of the newly recruited staff have been enrolled in the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS), ensuring their salaries will be processed promptly.

Professor Garba also emphasized the university's focus on attracting more qualified personnel to meet its expanding needs. He further reiterated the institution’s commitment to securing financial support from international donors, the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TetFund), and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to fund development projects aimed at advancing the university’s growth.
