The Students' Union Government (SUG) of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, has issued a series of safety advisories for the 2023/2024 session. The SUG warns students about increasing incidents of phone theft under the guise of assistance and advises against handing over personal belongings to unknown individuals.

Additionally, the SUG cautions against hiring motorcyclists (Okadas) who do not wear authorized and customized jackets. These unauthorized riders may pose a safety risk, and the SUG recommends only engaging with officially recognized personnel to ensure security on campus.
