Veritas University Holds 14th Convocation Ceremony, to Feature Lecture on Digital Transformation in University Governance
Veritas University, Abuja, has announced its 14th Convocation Lecture and Award of Degrees scheduled to hold on Friday, November 7, and Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the university’s Multipurpose Hall.

The two-day ceremony will feature a convocation lecture themed “Reimagining University Governance in the Age of Digital Transformation.” The lecture will be delivered by His Royal Majesty, Orchivirigh Professor James Ortese Iorzua Ayatse, CFR, Chairman of the Benue State Traditional Council and Tiv Area Traditional Council.

According to the programme released by the university management, Day One will begin with the Convocation Lecture from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, followed by the Award of Prizes to the Best Graduating Students from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m., and lunch at 1:00 p.m.
Day Two will feature the Convocation Mass from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., the Academic Procession from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., and the Award of Diplomas, Degrees, and Honorary Doctorates (Honoris Causa) from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by lunch at 1:00 p.m.
The Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Professor Hyacinth E. Ichoku, is expected to lead the academic procession and confer degrees on the graduating students during the ceremony.
