In September 2023, WAEC had announced plans to implement the CBT mode in its examinations. Dangut addressed concerns about the change, stating that it aligns with global technological advancements. He encouraged candidates to participate in online mock examinations to familiarize themselves with the CBT system, emphasizing simplicity and accessibility. The CBT mode is expected to curb examination malpractice and provide real-time monitoring of question delivery.
Contrary to fears of syllabus changes, Dangut clarified that there would be no alterations, and the examination would accommodate candidates from rural areas, with the capability to conduct CBT exams in such locations. He emphasized the readiness of WAEC to adapt to technological advancements in examination processes.
