WAFROEX, a leading Apiculture and Agro-Allied organization, has deepened its collaboration with the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), focusing on sustainable beekeeping practices and enhancing honey production in Nigeria.

At a recent meeting, WAFROEX's Team Lead, Mr. Samir Lababidi, highlighted the organization's success as Nigeria's largest honey exporter and outlined plans to further their partnership with FUNAAB. This includes the intention to formalize their collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

Responding to WAFROEX's proposals, FUNAAB's Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, expressed support for the initiative. He assured the WAFROEX delegation of his commitment to reviewing and facilitating their proposals, encouraging continued innovation and growth in beekeeping practices.

This partnership builds on WAFROEX's previous contributions to FUNAAB, such as the donation of Beehives in March 2024. The organization's CEO, Mr. Omar Lababidi, recently visited the university to assess the utilization of these resources.
