The Vice Chancellor, Professor Augustine Ikelegbe, on behalf of the Board of Trustees, Governing Council, and Senate, has extended a special invitation to dignitaries, alumni, and well-wishers to join in the celebration.
A highlight of the ceremony will be a convocation lecture titled "The Youth and the Challenges of Global Development," which will be delivered by Dr. Ifueko Omoigui-Okauru, a distinguished former Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS). Dr. Omoigui-Okauru, a renowned leader in public administration and finance, is expected to provide valuable insights on the role of youth in addressing global development issues.
During the convocation, Western Delta University will confer honorary degrees, award higher degrees and diplomas, present first degrees, and recognize outstanding students through prize presentations. The event is set to bring together notable members of the academic community, family, and friends to honor the achievements of the university's graduating students.
The convocation ceremony will be overseen by Prof. Henry Okojator, Chairman of the Ceremonial Committee, along with other principal officers of the university. The event underscores Western Delta University’s commitment to academic excellence and its mission to empower graduates for global impact.
