Wigwe University Opens Doors with Full-Tuition Scholarships

Wigwe University, located in Isiokpo, Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, has announced the commencement of its fully funded scholarship program for Nigerian students. The private university, owned by the late Herbert Wigwe, former Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc, shared details on how interested and qualified students can apply for the scholarships via its X handle (formerly known as Twitter) @WigweUniversity on Monday, August 12.

The university’s vision is to “ignite Africa’s potential for prosperity, nurture responsible fearless leaders, and become the leading university in Africa,” according to its website. The scholarship program will provide full-tuition scholarships to no fewer than 100 students. The application deadline for the fully funded scholarship is Sunday, August 26, 2024.
