World Bank and NUC Officials Visits ABU’s ACENPEE for Compliance and Support

The team, led by Hyleen Mariaye and including Prof. Queendaleen Obinaju and Mrs. Simi Sophia Gwoon from the NUC, met with Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kabiru Bala to evaluate the Centre’s adherence to World Bank guidelines and recommendations.

World Bank and NUC Officials Visits ABU’s ACENPEE for Compliance and Support

A delegation from the World Bank, alongside officials from the National Universities Commission (NUC), visited Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) to support the implementation of its Africa Centre of Excellence on New Pedagogies in Engineering Education (ACENPEE). 

The team, led by Hyleen Mariaye and including Prof. Queendaleen Obinaju and Mrs. Simi Sophia Gwoon from the NUC, met with Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kabiru Bala to evaluate the Centre’s adherence to World Bank guidelines and recommendations.

Mariaye praised the Centre’s progress and reiterated the World Bank’s commitment to supporting its objectives. Representing the Vice-Chancellor, Dean of the School of Postgraduate Studies Prof. Mohammed Nasir Shuiabu expressed gratitude for the visit and assured continued compliance with the Bank’s and NUC’s requirements.

The team was also welcomed by Registrar Malam Rabiu Samaila, Acting University Librarian Dr. Abdulhamid Liman Gambo, and Special Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor Mal. Auwalu Y. Mohammad.
