Yobe State University Announces Public Holiday for New Islamic Calendar Celebration

Yobe State University has announced a public holiday on Monday, July 8, 2024, to commemorate the beginning of the new Islamic calendar.

This follows the Yobe State Government's declaration of the day as a public holiday.

According to a circular signed by the Deputy Registrar (HRDD), Mohammed Mala Waziri, staff are encouraged to use the opportunity to pray for peace and a bumper harvest. The university community is expected to observe the holiday accordingly.
