Yusuf Maitama Sule University Kano Hosts NOA and Olam Agric for National Anthem and Tree Planting Campaigns

Yusuf Maitama Sule University Kano (YUMSUK) recently hosted the National Orientation Agency (NOA) and Olam Agric Company in support of national identity and environmental initiatives.
On October 23, the NOA team, led by Hajiya Maijidda Dalha Inuwa, visited YUMSUK to promote the new Nigerian National Anthem and encourage national unity. In a meeting with Vice Chancellor Professor Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa, Hajiya Maijidda highlighted the anthem's role in fostering patriotism among students. Professor Kurawa pledged the university's support and directed the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Musa, to facilitate student engagement. An interactive session followed, where students learned the anthem and discussed national values.
On the same day, Olam Agric Company launched a tree planting campaign at YUMSUK, providing 1,000 trees, including mango, date palm, and guava. Vice Chancellor Kurawa expressed gratitude, emphasizing the environmental impact, and instructed university offices to oversee the planting and maintenance.
The events underscored YUMSUK’s commitment to national development and environmental conservation.
