Zaria Police Chief Emphasizes Security as Collective Responsibility in Meeting with ABU New VC

The Area Commander of the Zaria Area Command, Assistant Commissioner of Police AbdulRahman Idris, has underscored the importance of security as a collective responsibility.

During a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Prof Adamu Ahmed, Idris highlighted the need for synergy and collaboration between the university and the Nigeria Police.

Idris emphasized that security is not a one-man business and expressed the Area Command's readiness to work with the university to address security concerns. He disclosed that the Area Command operates 17 Divisional Offices and is prepared to respond to distress calls at any time.

In response, Prof Ahmed appreciated the Area Commander's prompt responses to security issues affecting the university and acknowledged previous support received from the Command. The Vice-Chancellor requested that ACP Idris keep the university informed about areas requiring oversight.
