In a heartfelt gesture aimed at supporting the pursuit of education among underprivileged students, an academic association within the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) has extended a helping hand to ten deserving scholars. The Association of Ezikeoba Academics (AEA) proudly announced the allocation of N100,000 bursary awards to each of these students during its inaugural meeting of 2024.

Professor Emeka Obe, the esteemed President of the AEA, emphasized the significance of education and the association's commitment to aiding those facing financial constraints. Speaking at the gathering hosted by Dr. George Ali in Nsukka, Prof. Obe reiterated the association's longstanding dedication to supporting students from Enugu Ezike in their academic pursuits at UNN.

The bursaries, a total of N1,000,000 disbursed, aim to alleviate the financial burdens of the recipients, enabling them to focus more intently on their studies. Among the beneficiaries are Ezeja Uchenna, Okoro Kosisochukwu, and Ossai Festa, representing various departments within the university.

Prof. Obe commended the meticulous efforts of the Bursary Awards Screening Committee in selecting the most deserving candidates from a pool of over 50 applicants. He reaffirmed the association's commitment to ensuring that students from Enugu Ezike are supported in their educational journey.
