141 Students Achieve First-Class Honors at ABUAD's 11th Convocation Ceremony

In a recent announcement, the Vice Chancellor of Afe Babalola University Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), Professor Smaranda Olarinde, revealed that 141 students will graduate with First-Class degrees during the institution's 11th convocation ceremony. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 21, 2023.

Additionally, three prominent Nigerians who have made significant contributions to their respective fields will be awarded honorary degrees by ABUAD. Former Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, will receive a Doctor of Letters and deliver the convocation lecture titled, "Management of Diversity: A Major Challenge in Pluralistic Countries" on Friday, October 20.

The other honorary awardees include retired Justice of the Supreme Court and current Emir of Lafia, HRH Sidi Bage, and the business magnate and Managing Director of BOVAS and Company Limited, Mrs. Victoria Adunola Samson.

The graduating class consists of 1,459 undergraduates across five colleges and 209 postgraduates, highlighting the university's commitment to excellence and growth over the past decade. Since its maiden convocation on Sunday, October 21, 2013, ABUAD has graduated a total of 11,310 students at the First Degree and Postgraduate levels.
